New Summer Program Gives Jewish Teens a Taste of NYC, Boston, and Philly Food and Fitness Scenes
Camp Zeke’s Three-Week Teen Travel Program Launches in July
New York, Jewish teens who love food and fitness have a new option this summer. Camp Zeke, a Jewish summer camp in Pennsylvania that focuses on healthy living, is launching a teen tour this summer from July 2-23. Participants in the Zeke Teen Travel Program will visit three cities in three weeks, where they will cook with world-class chefs, work out with trainers at top gyms and studios, and make friendships with like-minded Jewish peers.
Rising 10th and 12th graders will have the opportunity to investigate the culinary and fitness cultures of New York City, Boston and Philadelphia, where they will explore iconic neighborhoods, shop in local markets, visit cultural destinations, volunteer at local organizations, and more. On the weekends, participants will retreat to Camp Zeke’s pristine 500-acre mountain location to celebrate Shabbat and enjoy traditional summer camp activities such as building bonfires and swimming.
Alongside the new teen travel program, Camp Zeke is expanding its existing Teen Leadership Program, in which rising 10th to 12th graders serve as assistant specialists, mentor younger campers, and benefit from college-prep leadership programing.
Camp Zeke’s teen initiatives receive support from the New York Teen Initiative, which is jointly funded by UJA-Federation of New York and the Jim Joseph Foundation, with the Jewish Education Project serving as lead operator.
