Population and Immigration Authority to automatically extend B1 working visas in various sectors Featured

The decision applies to anyone who holds a B1 visa in the following sectors: Nursing care, agriculture, chefs and experts.

The Population and Immigration Authority announces that in light of the situation, visas for foreign workers in the sectors defined below, which expire[d] between 10 March-5 May 2020, will be automatically extended. The extension will be carried out automatically, without the need to file an application and pay a fee, for a period of two months from the expiration of the original visa.

This decision applies to anyone who holds a B1 visa in the following sectors: Nursing care, agriculture, chefs and experts.

Whoever holds a B1 working visa in one of the foregoing sectors does not need to go to a Population and Immigration Authority office.

At the same time, for employers with employment permits in agriculture, experts and chefs, whose permit expires between 10 March-5 May 2020, the permit will be extended automatically for two months, without the need to file an application and pay a fee.
